IPE CSR Corporate Governance Award- 2012’ instituted by Public Enterprise (IPE)
OIL has bagged the ’IPE CSR Corporate Governance Award- 2012’ instituted by Public Enterprise (IPE) in recognition of its best practices followed in CSR Activities. TK Ananth Kumar, Director (Finance) received the award from Prof S Mahendra Dev, Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research at a glittering function held at Mumbai on November 24, 2012. The award marks the contributions made by an organization which has made a difference to the people and the community and played a role of responsible citizen.

MoU signed between FINER and APC in the Assam Secretariat
A historic milestone was achieved when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) and the Assam Productivity Council (APC) in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Power, Pradyut Bordoloi at his office in the Assam Secretariat.

Hornbill Festival, 2012 at Naga heritage village Kisama near Kohima
Khiamniungan tribe of Nagaland performing songs of sowing seeds, a practice called Tsokhioho Dance on the 6th day of the weeklong Hornbill Festival, 2012 at Naga heritage village Kisama near Kohima on Thursday. Khiamniungan are another major tribe inhabiting the Tuensang district of Nagaland. The Khiamniungan tribals, who traditionally practiced jhum cultivation, celebrate the Miu festival at the time of sowing, to offer prayer for good harvest. (Sentinel)
